History
The Wreath Factory began when Michael Beeck was asked to help the Johnsonville Hustlers 4-H club with their fund raiser. Michael would make wreaths for the group to sell at Christmas and that would be the seed that started what we now know as The Wreath Factory, Otter Creek Landscape, Otter Creek Outdoor in Plymouth and Menasha. In the early years, Michael and his crew, mostly family and friends, would make the wreaths in a shack—no running water or heat. As the years continued and other groups used his services, they moved to a small cheese factory located in Johnsonville, and began to supply wreaths to local customers.
In 1993, The Wreath Factory and Otter Creek moved to the current location and broke ground for small show room that was only open during November and December. These facilities served as a base for the landscaping and design services. Jeff Buser joined Michael, and the two collaborated to take a small wreath-making operation and turned it into The Wreath Factory. The current site is eight acres with a 16,000 square foot showroom . The company employs over 45 people throughout the year.
In 2000, Otter Creek Outdoor opened in Sheboygan to offer the finest of indoor and outdoor furniture. After several years, Otter Creek Outdoor moved to Plymouth to enhance the selection there.
Spring of 2006 brought the opening of The Wreath Factory and Otter Creek Outdoor to the Fox Cities, offering our shopping experience to our customers to the north.
