About Us
Plymouth, Wisconsin. The Wreath Factory began in 1983 when Michael Beeck was asked to help raise funds for a small Wisconsin 4-H Club, the Johnsonville Hustlers. Owner Michael Beeck made fresh evergreen wreaths for the groups to sell at Christmas. In the early years, Michael and his crew of family and friends would make the handmade, custom wreaths in a shack with no running water or heat. As the years continued and other groups sought out his beautiful wreaths, they moved to a small cheese factory located in Johnsonville, and began to supply wreaths to local customers. The seed had been planted in what is now known as The Wreath Factory and Otter Creek Landscape.
In 1993, The Wreath Factory and Otter Creek moved to the current location and broke ground for a small showroom that was only open during November and December. These facilities served as a base for their landscaping and design services. Jeff Buser joined Michael, and the two collaborated to take a small wreath-making operation and turned it into The Wreath Factory and Otter Creek Landscape . The current site is an expansive eight acres with a 16,000 square-foot destination home and garden showroom with a full-scale landscape design and building firm. |
The showroom begins its transformation into a Winter Wonderland in September and is complete by November 1st. A magical holiday vibe is created across the entire retail space, making it hard not to get into the mood. The Wreath Factory remains the source for fresh holiday wreaths and greenery, and employs over 45 people throughout the year.
Michael Beeck was born and raised in Sheboygan County. In 1983, he founded The Wreath Factory and Otter Creek Landscape. Having attended school at MATC (Milwaukee Area Technical College), Michael honed his skills and knowledge in Landscape Design and Business, setting a strong foundation for his successful ventures. His dedication to his craft, combined with a deep understanding of customer needs, has allowed him to flourish and deliver exceptional products and services to his clients.
Michael has volunteered his time and talents to the following boards: LTC Horticultural Advisory Board, Pabst Mansion, and the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac. More importantly, he is an avid art and animal lover and serves as a current board member for the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Kohler Foundation, and Sheboygan Human Society. He has so many interests; those close to his heart are gardening, travel, art collecting, charity work and his small hobby farm where he raises sheep, goats, and an array of chickens. |
Jeff Buser calls Winneconne his hometown. Co-owner of the Wreath Factory and Otter Creek Landscape, he has lived in the area since 1993. Jeff graduated from UW-Whitewater with a Public Administration Degree. Jeff’s extensive knowledge has helped the business grow into what it is today.
He believes in supporting the community around him along with being an avid pet lover. He has held the position of President of the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and Board Member of the Children’s Museum in Sheboygan. The Sheboygan Human Society and the Wisconsin Juvenile Diabetes Research foundation (JDRF) are close to his heart. His interests are time spent with family and friends, travel and Otter Creek's newest hospitality project, Old Trees Guest Farm. This property is a tastefully renovated cream city brick farmhouse on a private hobby farm that can host up to 12 guests, conveniently located on the outskirts of Plymouth near unique shops and delicious restaurants. |
